Kenny Emmanuel received instruction from several teachers since grade 7 as a student of Saint Xavier’s School, Delhi.He studied performance techniques in guitar and general music from teacher Anne Marie from the radio chamber orchestra of Bucharest and completed professional development in advanced studies in modal jazz guitar composition from Jim Sutton Institute, Texas, United States of America with distinction.
He is known for his solo performances from early music, baroque to contemporary nylon string guitar, solo classical, flamenco and Latin American guitar at various venues ranging from concert stage to hospitality industry.Kenny specializes in playing early music, Giuliani, Carulli, Francisco Tarrega, anonymous early music, John Dowland, Fernando Sor, Dionisio Aguado, Napoleon Coste and traditional flamenco Bulerias, Algerias, Malaguena and Solea also Latin American guitar works by Baden Powell, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Dilermando Reis, Sabicas, Juan Serrano .
He has performed voice and guitar duets with opera singer Christine Matovich (Slumdog Millionaire ) opera singer from New York working on the music based of the works of Federico Garcia Lorca and traditional Spanish music.
Some of the places he has been associated with the sound of classical /nylon guitar are New Delhi YMCA Christmas choir and The Mame Khan Band: Fusion of flamenco jazz and Indian folk music of Rajasthan with the Manganiars.
He has been a general music and Guitar since 1994. Currently the Guitar Faculty at American Embassy School and Senior Guitar Faculty at New Delhi YMCA.
Rahul Arora is a Guitarist, Bollywood Music Director, Music Producer and SAE international (Sound Engineering) alumnus with a strong background in computers (Computer Science Hons. from Hans Raj College, Delhi University) and Music Theory (Grade 5 in Music Theory, TCL). He spent a decade and a half in the industry starting out as a Sound Engineer (Jolly LLB and Aashiqui 2) and educator (SAE international). Later he progressed to Jingle Production and also directed music for the 2016 Bollywood release Two Desires and a Dream. Throughout, he has been associated with several known artists as a stage and studio guitarist. His passion for the instrument keeps him engaged in the study of music in general. His music is heavily influenced by Hard Rock and Jazz. His favorite guitarists are Jimmy Page and Pat Metheny.
Pranai Gurung is a guitarist, composer and educator from Kalimpong, India. He has been writing and collaborating with various musicians for over 20 years. He is as much as ease with Jazz and Bebop as with Funk, Pop, Retro, RnB and the Blues.
He has worked with DRIFT The Trio, J Hola, Silk Route , Bipul Chettri and the travelling band, Shilpa Rao, BLU, The Crossover Jazz Collective, BollyJazz. International artists like German Saxophonist Rainer Pusch, Gianni Dennitto and French singer Raphaelle Brochet have invited him to collaborate in what turned out to be performances of significant critical acclaim.
Pranai has performed concerts in some prestigious festivals viz. Jazzmandu 2003, NH7 Festival 2015 & 2016, Shillong Jazz n Blues Festival 2014, Dhaka Jazz n Blues Festival 2015, Pune Jazz Utsav 2015, Hyderabad Jazz festival 2015, Delhi Jazz Utsav 2017, Mahindra Blues festival 2017, Hornbill Festival 2017 and music venues in USA, Australia, UK, Japan, Dubai, Hong kong, South Korea, Nepal and India.
